Pollinator Day Classroom Visits

We love to visit students! Students love when we visit!
First hand experiences are the best way to build relationships with students.
Schools local to ButterBee are encouraged to invite our team in for a unique in-person pollinator experience!


Your hive will be buzzing with excitement as they explore the lives of bees and other pollinators up close!
ButterBee's in-person pollinator visits are highly interactive, encouraging students to participate in lively discussions, games, quizzes, and stewardship activities.
Every unique program is designed to enhance classroom pollinator curriculum with developmentally appropriate cross-curricular lessons aligned with Next Generation Science Standards, the Common Core, and state standards.

Program topics include honey bees, native bees, planting for pollinators, the science of honey, beekeeping around the world, and the fascinating lives of powerful pollinators.
Pollinator Day programs are 1 - 2 hours in length, but the buzz of excitement will continue for a long time to come!

In this lesson, we compare the bee-sy lives of a variety of bee species, as we explore their physical characteristics, life cycle, pollination habits, adaptations, and a variety of fun facts, as we seek to find out who the best bee is!

Bees are some of our best friends! In this lesson, young learners are introduced to bees as friends. Learn about their characteristics, life cycle, and the many ways bees help us. The goal of this program is to help younger students feel confident around bees, and empowered that they can help these vital pollinators.
