Protecting Pollinators Today for a Greener Tomorrow
Bees, Butterflies, Ladybugs, Bats, and More!
Grown from the ground up, just like a freshly pollinated plant, The ButterBee Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to protecting the powerful pollinators our ecosystems and agriculture rely on.
Our Mission
We combine standards-aligned environmental STEM with hands-on stewardship to
empower learners of all ages to become advocates for pollinators, the environment, and each other. Our team is committed to providing high-quality, engaging experiences to schools, communities, and businesses in order to share the vital role pollinators play in our ecosystems and agriculture.
Facilitating conservation and stewardship through quality education and relevant life experiences.
We are proud to partner with schools, community organizations, corporations, and other nonprofits as we work towards the common goal of creating a world where pollinators and people thrive.
School Programs
ButterBee Foundation's cross-curricular programs are developed by certified teachers to combine engagement with rigor, and include developmentally appropriate material for students in grades K-12. Educators have access to a wide variety of engaging STEM lessons, meaningful activities for students, and fun virtual field trips carefully crafted to enhance the current classroom curriculum. ButterBee lessons, programs, and educational materials align with Next Generation Science Standards, the Common Core, state, and local standards. Every lesson challenges students to apply academic skills to real-world problems. Let curiosity take the lead as learners of all ages explore the fascinating world of the mighty pollinators we rely on.

The ButterBee Model
Our programs are rooted in the support of our donors, sponsors, and grant makers. ButterBee's educational programs "stem" from this selfless generosity, allowing us to fund high quality programs for students at no cost to schools. Removing the barriers imposed by fees and expenses, allow students to bloom with the appreciation they gain for pollinators.
